Ditto. Am doing something very simliar at the moment, and Rick Murray has
started to write a E01s filestore emulator from scratch (in visual basic) -
see his pages.

I've got a few econet docs that describe a few things like the layers and
the AUN protocol etc.  Look at the bbcdocs.com site on the econet page.
