Subject: FF: 40MB Viglen ST506 hard disc mechanism

In my junk box I have a hard drive marked 'Viglen Drive 0' and '40M'. It's
an ST506 drive that's really an NEC D5146H, with a date code of 1986.12.
Given the Viglen label I think it's highly likely it was used in a BBC
Micro. It's just the ST506 mechanism - no extra bridge boards.

I received it a few years ago after a call for scrap drives - but I suspect
it was declared scrap due to its age rather than failure. I don't think
I've ever powered it up. There might even be some data still on it.

Anyone want it for free? It's in Cambridge, or I'm probably going to the
RISC OS London show tomorrow so I could take it with me.
