That reminds me, must try and get a stand booked for Retro Software! :)

Sure - I'll add it on Sunday (together with details of three other upcoming
events!).

Whilst on the subject of events, tomorrow I'll be bringing a Beeb and A3010 to
the "Retro Computer Games Festival" in Aldershot. The event gets underway at
2pm and there is no charge for entry.

Location:
Garden Gate pub,
Aldershot,

Have included the organiser's original communication below. So, anybody else
up for this?

I wanted to let you know about a small event I'm organizing called the Retro
Computer Games Festival.

It's going to take place on Sat 23rd Jan 2010 at the Garden Gate pub in
Aldershot, Hampshire. Kicking of at 2pm and running through the day until the
landlady kicks us out at the end of the night (luckily the landlady is my
sister!).

We should have 20+ systems running so long as all the TV's I've been promised
turn up and we can fit them in (the pub is quite cosy). Here's the current
list:

2 x Atari 2600
2 x Atari Lynx
Acorn A3010
BBC Micro
Binatone Pong
Commodore 64
Commodore Amiga
Grandstand Scramble
Grandstand Astro Wars
Xbox
Vectrex (if I get it fixed in time)
3 x Nintendo Gameboy
Nintendo 64
Radofin Tele-Sports IV
Sega Master System
Sega Mega Drive
Sega Dreamcast
Sinclair ZX81
3 x Sony Playstation 1
Sony Playstation 2

The Garden Gate is in the good beer guide and generally has 3 or 4 real ales
on. They also serve food and bar snacks to keep the energy levels up. I'll be
running a couple of competitions through the day (more details to follow on
these). Entry is free but there will be a charge to enter the competitions.

To get more information take a look at the website:
http://www.RetroComputerGamesFestival.com From there you can become a fan on
facebook and/or follow our twitter feed to get more updates. So long as this
event goes well we'll be running events every couple of months or so at the
pub.

This is my first time organizing anything like this so any advice or tips will
be gratefully received!

Hope to see some of you there.

Matt
