The actual ROM shouldn't make a difference. The 8K NFS 3.60 ROM is
identical to half the 16K DNFS 3.00 ROM with a couple of patches to
remove calls to the missing DFS half.

If the problem is affecting multiple machines, I'd suspect the
network wiring, or one particular machine plugged in unbalancing
the network. Try unplugging different machines from the network.
