Subject: DOS+ Econet software

Do you actually have this? Mark Usher will be very pleased if you do.
I have been looking for it for him for the last three or so months and I
have drawn a blank. It not on my dead Filestore, which is where I once
remember it being.

Its not a close relative of the Ecolink software as its DR DOS
extensions not a MS DOS extension as the Ecolink driver is.

The only thing I can remember about it is that its diabolically slow,
mind you so is the Ecolink. Turning the DOS extensions into prefix
directory names, just buggers up L3 and filestore like nothing else.

Subject: [BBC-Micro] DOS+ Econet software

Describes this:

DOS+ Econet, AES39, ` 149.00 - Allows full use of the Master 512 on
Econet

Comes as a site licence. The software is loaded onto the fileserver and
allows
Master 512 users to access the Econet system, with the ability to load
and save
files, use the network printer, share files and programs, transfer files
to and
from PC's using Ecolink cards, etc.

Anyone have this in their collection ?
It sounds like a way to make use of those ecolink cards.

I'm going to do some tests later to see if I can get a Master 512 to
load the boot files off a standard Level3 server. Issue a few star
commands and see what I can get to work.
