I see.

Update:
The bit I thought would be the hardest has in fact proved the easiest.
After I started looking through CF ADFS 1.33 for &FC4x rather than
&FE4x's, I found 29 instants. After checking though the 29 with *DIS in
Disc doctor I saw they were all either LDA's or STA's with one
exception, an ORA I replaced the lot with FC5x. The CF board now works
with the FE?50 PAL. :-)

Now *all* I need to do is change the channel range<help!> and FS
number<help!!>, which I don't mind telling you I'm finding difficult. I
found *a* channel range at &9FD8 (bear in mind that this is the patched
v1.33), but a search of JGH's Master 1.50 disassembly shows so many
CMP#3A's and 30's so I don't know where to start altering. The obvious
ones are where the 30's and 3A's are in the same block of code, but
working off the 1.50 disassembly is not really ideal. As far as the
filing system number or service call goes, just hit me with a large
plank of wood, and put me out of my misery!

JHG, is there any chance <beg> that you may upload the disassembly of
ADFS v1.3x in the near future? It may help a bit, though maybe not
knowing me. It depends on how many comments there are. ;-) I really
like the idea of permanently keeping the CF card reader at &FC5x, and
then run the retro clinic data centre (fixed at &FC4x) off the end of
it. I haven't got one yet, but plan to add one by May. I realise that
the Data Centre has an IDE port, but I think reserving this for a true
hard disc would be a better idea.

Thanks for you help,

Mick.
