Ah, now the question I have, and for somebody way more clued up than me 
(especially this time of night...), the MODE2 example has a flashing 
cursor. How is this cursor arranged in screen memory? Is it pasted in 
afterwards, or has its flashing on and off randomly trashed bits of 
Mick's data that was stuffed into those bits of the memory?

I'm with Mick on this one, it's HORRIBLE. The only time I want to see 
crap splattered onto the display is when loading a game on a Spectrum...
