What the hell?

I mean... WHAT THE HELL?

Once upon a time we had a hardcore and often amusing sci-fi programme. A
band of elite dealing with alien tech (etc) turning up in the middle of
Cardiff.

Being British, it was a little more than just sci-fi fun. Everybody
happened to also have <cough> relations </cough> with everybody else. I
think the only 'normal' relation was the one that never was (Tosh in
love with Owen, did Owen ever realise?).

But then it all went horribly wrong. In the course of a season, pretty
much everybody died.

This was then followed by a BLEAK miniseries. I mean, really really
downer all the way through.

And now this.

The plot *could* be interesting. But I find it hard to be interested
when a few minutes of action is punctuated by nearly half an episode of
Jack romping in bed with a weedy Italian bloke. In fact, his subsequent
significance to the story took less time than was spent shagging, in
what must rank as the most hamfisted and gratuitously unnecessary
character introduction in the history of television.

The way things are playing out now, "Bugs" will look good in comparison.

What happened to the Torchwood we used to enjoy? Can we have that one
back please?

Best wishes,

Rick.
