Subject: Data Harvest VELA software

Hi All,
I've just managed to get hold of a VELA - Versatile Laboratory Aid from
a school that's just merged with another in Stoke on Trent and become an
Academy. As part of that merger, they're going through their Science equipment
and getting rid of everything they don't need any more.
The VELA itself is in excellent working condition but over the years and
apparent moves between different school sites, it has been separated from
its manuals and software which is needed to export the data stored in it's
local RAM into a Beeb. The manuals aren't too much of a problem as I have
a mini cheat-sheet of instructions I created when I was doing my A-Levels
in the early 90's but the software is the thing I'm really in need of.
The software in question is called VELAAnalysis or VELAnalysis, (I can't
remember which spelling is correct) and I've seen on the mdfs.net archives
that Alex Taylor came across a VELA in the past http://mdfs.net/Archive/BBCMicro/2007/12/19/232126.htm
and was asking the very same question I am today.
In the past I've contacted Dr. Clarke who actually created the VELA and
he's confirmed that he has a copy of the software *somewhere* but as yet
he's been unable to locate it so I'm hoping that someone on the list might
have the software to hand now seeing as the last time the VELA seems to have
been discussed was around 4 years ago.
Thanks
Paul
