   * Every boy wore chinos.
   * Teachers tried to get you to call them by their first names.

   * Or human rights.
   * Or Islam.
   * The biggest thing we had to worry us was the IRA.
   * Or Young Thatcherites.
   * You WISH your headmaster was Gene Hunt.
   * Your English teacher probably was.
   * Rick Astley wasn't a meme.
   * Girls had freaky hair that outdid Monica Lewinsky.
   * Some boys wore makeup. As did their favourite New Romantic.
   * Nobody had a mobile phone.
   * Everybody had a walkman.
   * BBC1 was Everyman's Channel.
     BBC2 was Boffin Zone.
     ITV was still sh...
     That was your choice.
