Subject: Expensive Atoms

I managed to acquire a unbuilt Powertran Cortex computer kit earlier this 
year.
I did take me a couple of days before i decided to pull the pcb's out of the 
tissue paper they had been in since new and build the kit.
Still not sure if i should have built it,  it was the computer i wanted when 
i was a teenager but couldn't afford.
Just need to actually get it working properly now, it has a couple of issues 
probably relating to 30 year old chips !

I have a brand new unconstructed Atom kit here. I haven't looked at it for
years but I remember that the condition is similar to that shown in the
eBay sale. The polystyrene box for the plastic case shell hasn't got a
cardboard wrapper as many units were supplied together in an outer cardboard
box and I managed to get hold of two of them many years ago. I constructed
one of them and kept the other as an unused kit. I would like to think that
the unconstructed kit has some value as a museum piece in the future. I am
keeping all my Acorn parts for the moment, but they cannot stay for ever.
