Plugging in devices is not a goal in itself. The goal is storage.

As such, I would argue that having any number of HDs on an elegant
and small device seems more practical and flexible than having one
or two on a clunky and big device. Cool though it may be, since it
resembles the HDs of old. If you're into that sort of thing. ;-)
But practical ? I don't think so.
