Subject: procedure calls in Z-80 or CP/M-based systems

I'm doing a term paper on the procedure call, and I'm trying to gather
information on how procedure calls are performed in various
implementations of various languages. I'd be most grateful if anyone
either knows something about specific cases or can point me to
literature on such. I would be particularly interested in information
about how various versions of C do this, as there are a large number
and can form a good database for a comparative study. Most useful
would be notes from the companies selling such software or articles
from the trade press, and pointers to such. Note that by procedure
call I am referring to a C or Lisp style procedure, not a subroutine
such as Basic.

Please reply to me directly. I am on the list but will be going home
for two weeks beginning Friday, and will temporarily remove myself
from the list at that time.

Thanks in advance for any help.
