It's a 'quick' (but stable) release that fixes a bug in the tools (see the 'Updates' file within the archive), and adds a thing or two. Download the software from : http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/hardware/gommc/gommc052.zip and follow the same 'drill' as outlined on the 'guide' page http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/hardware/gommc/guide.htm (Updates is a text file, all others should be made available on the machine, e.g. via a floppy, with load and execution addresses set to &2000, then run MMCUP to update the software on the card, hard-reset, and re-*MMCCONFIG, noting that indices have been replaced with mnemonic names). More improvements will follow soon, most notably a utility to add discs to the MMC straight from floppy. Quick docs for the *-commands : MMCCONFIG --------- On its own lists the configuration options and their values. Followed by assigns (1-byte decimal) to configuration option . MMCDISC ------- On its own assumes '*' for . Followed by (may contain wildcards * and #) selects the named disc (or the first matching the wildcarded spec). MMCINFO ------- Lists info. MMCLIST ------- On its own assumes '*' for . Followed by (may contain wildcards * and #) lists the named disc (or all discs matching the wildcarded spec). MMCPREFIX --------- Emulates '*DIR', sort of. Followed by (which may be empty). The 'prefix' is what is prepended to the name specified in *MMCDISC and *MMCLIST. For example, if you have named a disc 'Acornsoft.Hopper', using *MMCPREFIX Acornsoft. (note the trailing dot) would cause *MMCDISC Hopper and *MMCLIST Hopper to match/find that disc. MMCTOOL ------- Tools can be run straight from the MMC (which avoids the need to have e.g. a floppy with the tools on it in the disc drive at all times). Use MMCATO to add a tool to the MMC (e.g. MMCATO MMCADI1 ADI1, it's now named ADI1, or make up your own name). Then where you'd usually do 'MMCADI1 BLAH Newdisc' you now do 'MMCTOOL ADI1 BLAH Newdisc' instead. Configuration options --------------------- FSNR : the code of a filing system to auto-load (see guide). FSRM : the sideways ROM slot to load it into (see guide). LOPT : default 0, but if set to 1, *MMCLISTs MMC address and size, and disc type code (1 = DFS, 2 = ADFS). LTYP : default 0, but if set to 1,2 or 3 *MMCLISTs filing systems, tools, and discs (as for 0) respectively. ROM0 : default 0, set to 1 to 'unplug' ROM number 0. ROM1 : default 0, set to 1 to 'unplug' ROM number 1. ... ROMF : default 0, set to 1 to 'unplug' ROM number 15. Have fun. John Kortink ------------------------ Yahoo!
