It adds the possibility to add discs to the MMC straight from a physical (DFS or ADFS) floppy. See below for more info. Also, note that the old 'MMCADI1' tool forgot to distinguish between DFS and ADFS type discs. If you have added ADFS type discs with MMCADI1, these have the wrong subtype (DFS), and you're advised to rebuild your MMC (remember that we were still only 'playing' at this stage ? ;-)) Download the software from : http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/hardware/gommc/gommc053.zip and follow the same 'drill' as outlined on the 'guide' page http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/hardware/gommc/guide.htm (Updates is a text file, all others should be made available on the machine, e.g. via a floppy, with load and execution addresses set to &2000, then run MMCUP to update the software on the card, hard-reset, and re-*MMCCONFIG, noting that indices have been replaced with mnemonic names). The new tools. There are now seperate tools to add DFS or ADFS discs, 'DI' and 'DG' for DFS discs, 'AI' and 'AG' for ADFS discs. 'DI' and 'AI' are the old 'ADI2' and 'ADI3' tools. 'DG' and 'AG' used to be merged in 'ADI1' but now distinguish between DFS and ADFS discs (simply by their name, of course). In addition, 'DG' and 'AG' can now copy straight from a physical floppy. To do this, use '$1$', '$2$' or '$3$' as the image 'filename'. This copies : DFS --- $1$ : single-drive single-sided (DFS drive 0) 200K $2$ : single-drive double-sided (DFS drive 0+2) 400K $3$ : dual-drive double-sided (DFS drive 0+2+1+3) 800K ADFS ---- $1$ : single-drive single-sided (ADFS drive 0) 320K $2$ : single-drive double-sided (ADFS drive 0) 640K $3$ : dual-drive double-sided (ADFS drive 0+1) 1280K Note that copying straight from a physical floppy switches to DFS or ADFS to make things work correctly. If you run your GoMMC tools from a floppy (not via *MMCTOOL) remember to switch back to the FS/drive they are on after each disc. The 'playing' stage is over, as far as I'm concerned. The current arrangement, and tools, should be future-proof, so start building that final version of your personal MMC. John Kortink ------------------------ Yahoo!
