Subject: Just a quickie - about to leave!
I'm just about to leave on holiday but I couldn't resist checking my
E-mail. Anyway, I've got to wait until my mum gets home so I can get the
car! ;-)
I've made a couple of notes on the comments people have made; I hope you
don't mind if I answer them in one letter.
I transferred my BBC ROMS using BDOS, this excellent program for a PC
that reads BBC disks. I'm not sure if it';s shareware or what; I err...
appropriated it from my computer studies department at school! Problem
is, I can't transfer this wierd "UTILS" ROM because I haven't got a copy
of it on disk. It's that one that's paged in when the machine starts up.
BTW, I knew that FE30 was the ROM paging address; sorry if anyone
misunderstood; I really was wondering the best method of paging ROMS. I
also still haven't a copy of the UTILS ROM that is paged in when my
Master Compact boots up.
A quick question - the BBC User Guide (yes, I know... I'm trying to get
an Advanced User Guide still) lists opcode 8C as being STY_abs and
JMP_ind. Which one (if either) is it and what is the other one supposed
to be? I think there's a few errors in the instruction list at the back
of the user guide.
(To the person who wrote to SQ regarding being removed from the list -
you're off as of two minutes away)
Well, I hope it doesn't rain when I'm on holiday and I'll see (well, hear
from) you all when I get back.
Happy Beebing!
