Subject: Life with Master
Hi everyone,
I assume that this list gets busier during term time, or is it
always this quiet?
My brand new BBC Master arrived a couple of days ago (costing stlg52
inc VAT) so I'm finally able to use many of my PD programs that
wanted mode 7, better sound, loads of Sideways RAM etc. It's a bit of
an upgrade after using my Electron. I also stumbled upon a couple of
good BBC books in my college library - the BBC user guide and
advanced user guide, so I'm swotting up on my 8bit knowledge.
The problem is, my Electron isn't doing anything now and I want to
keep it in use. Has anyone got any ideas? It's got 4 cartridge slots
(like the Master's), a parallel port and ADC converter. There's 32k
of sideways RAM as well. If anyone can think of a suggestion then I'd
be very interested. By electronics knowledge is practically zero and
my programming knowledge (in hardware level things) isn't much
better.
And one final question. Did anyone write programs making use of the
AMX SuperRom. I'm playing around with it at the moment and the
potential seems huge.
Julian
