Robert wrote there's little use in transferring these files to a Beeb,
as
they have to be blown into an Eprom. However, if your Eprom programmer
is connected to your Beeb, or if you wish to load the ROM images into
sideways RAM, you do have to transfer them to the Beeb.
XFer can handle this without a problem. It doesn't need an associated
INF file to transfer the file from a PC to a Beeb. The only thing is,
XFer sets the load address of the file to 0000 (as it assumes the file
is a text file). This should be no problem, 'cause you cannot *LOAD
a ROM image into sideways RAM directly, but need a special utility
(that should take care the ROM image ends up in the right sideways
RAM slot at the right address, ie. &8000). If it is an aestetical
problem to you that the load address of a ROM image on a Beeb disk
is &0000 rather than &8000, just create the .INF file for the ROM
image yourself. Full instructions are included in the XFer package
(see the file Format.txt, or something like that).
