Subject: Formatting Disks
Hiya all,
I'm writing this in the hope that someone somewhere will be able to help
me.
Last year I purchased a 2nd hand BBC Micro model B with DDFS Disk filing
System. The DDFS system is designed by 'United Disk Memories' and enables
you to format at single or double density.
Recently I have bumped into an old friend who has a large BBC software
colection and I have found the need to format disks to copy software
from him. Well, he is able to format disks on his machine but not on mine
as it keep asking for the density and no matter what we've tried it's
not the correct syntax.
So, I'm wondering if anyone can help with me the syntax of how to format
a disk on one of these things and also how to copy one disk to another.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Robert
