Yes, I try that and all it does is show me what commands are available to me.

If I type * Format the computer displays;

       Syntax: FORMAT (drv) (den) (trk) (title)


I've tried numerous ways of inputting possible combinations of syntax but
have failed.

I think I may have to return to my BBC owning chum and see if he can dig out
one of his copier programmes. Perhaps that'll enable me to format and copy
disks with ease.
