Subject: Basic2

Dear All,

I'm in the process of trying to get a Hybrid 2000 midi add on unit to work
with my Beeb - I've bought the unit from a guy in Holland (he's English but
works there).

When I run the original disk (this should update the music software) I get a
syntax error! My quick conclusion is that its written for Basic 2 - not the
old Basic I have.

Question(s)

a) when did Basic 2 come out?
b) any idea what are the main differences? I seem to remember that the
indirection operators were slightly different.
c) can I get a Basic2 anywhere - anyone have an Eprom blower - happy to pay
/ exchange anything I've got. 

I have a sideways rom add on - anyone willing to send me a sideways rom of
Basic2 ???
