Hmmm, a few ARCbbs systems offer this sort of thing, Arcade (0181 655 4412)
being the most obvious one.

I did write an offline reader for ARCbbs, but I can't honestly remember how
well it worked - I did use it for quite a bit a long time ago, so it must
have been usable !

It's on Arcade as file 002861 BBCread045, my ANSI terminals are
007812 !terms079 and a dearchiver needed for the above files (and ARCbbs
mail packets for that matter) is 013542 bdsave.
