I was able to build a short program to both read and write sectors,
by using the apropriate assembler commands implemented through
a CALL. The info I found in the User Guide, volume two (North American
Version had it, anyway.)

It wasn't exactly rocket science. I used it for making a copy of the
directory sectors on one side of the disc to track 0, sectors 2 and 3
on the other side of the disc.

I later found an easier way to accomplish that last task, but you
would still need the program, which I simply called x.routine, to
restore the x.cat files if you had a directory get corrupted.
