Thanks for the advice. I will try doing some of those things. Here is what I
used to load locked files:

P%=&C00
[PHA: LDA &3CA:AND #&FE:STA &3CA:PLA:RTS]
?&220=0:?&221=&C
*FX14,4

It can then be *loaded. (NB Those are all zero's and not O's)
