I have sent a copy of this reply to the BBC micro mailing list. There
are many people there more competent than me at identifying problems
like the one you seem to have. Information on how to join the list can
be found at http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/netresource.shtml#mail.
If you want to experiment a bit on your own, there's quite a collection
of documentation in http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/docs.html (largely thanks
to Mark Usher's BBC documentation project) - including a BBC user's
guide and various more focused documents. I don't think anything there
will get you far, though.
