This weekend I've managed to sort out an alternative solution to this
problem. I can now plug the beeb into my TV card and it works just fine.
I get a window on my X deskstop with the beeb display in it.
I haven't tried using the composite video input yet, but only because I
don't have a cable with a BNC adapter on one end and a phono plug on the
other...
