My understanding is that they have done a deal with their shareholders to
exchange 2 ARM shares for every 5 Acorn shares. Pace have bought the
set-top box division including the staff, the Newmarket Road site and the
rights to RISC OS for £200k. Element 14 have basically bought themselves
out and are now privately held. So yes, Acorn as a company will cease to
exist and existing Acorn shareholders will simply become ARM shareholders.

I'm not sure how much of this has already happened and how much is still
subject to negotiation and I'm afraid I have no idea at all what the situation
is with regard to the BBC ROMs.
