BBC to VGA monitor

I recall Mike Cook wrote about this in his series of Body Build
Articles for Micro User a few years back.

Look at :

http://nylasor.math.aca.mmu.ac.uk/Physics/Acorn/BB/BBindex.html

and get :

BB 81 (May 90) Use IBM PC monitors on your computer using a Sync Separator

also look at :

BB 86 (Oct. 90) Connect your computer to a TV set using its SCART plug.

I think the main problem is that the BBC has both horizontal and
vertical syncs combined on one line whereas most VGA monitors have
separate lines.

However it is worthwhile checking the manual as my Iiyama Vision
Master 17" appears (in theory) to be able to work with a combined sync.
