Subject: Well things started well....

The continuing repair saga.

Finally found that the Beeb was hanging at start due to a dry joint on +5v
on IC91. Soon fixed that and ta da.. it boots. Now to test the econet. Found
that this hangs with line jammed. Decided to have another chip swap-a-rama
with the good BBC, no change so swapped the chips back.

Arghhh, the good BBC is now very slow on the Econet. ie when the !Boot file
execs from the fileserver the letters appear slowly on the screen,
*...L...I...B etc. Rebooted the fileserver but that had no effect.

Decided to turn on the Master to see if it too was slow.

Acorn MOS

*not a language

arghhh... CMOS ? Battery dead ? Probably. Turn it on again... beeeeeeeeep.
No, why me.
Multimeter, yep, the batteries were dead. Replace them. Turn on. beeeeeeeep.
ISTR it doing this once before, a couple of days later it was OK again
without doing anything, so while I'm trying to figure out what is wrong on
the Beebs I'll let the Master sit a while.
