Subject: Beebug Master Modem

Hi all
Can anyone help me out with the Beebug Master Modem? 

I have come across a Master with this internal modem fitted. It is
fitted in the space between the motherboard and PSU. It plugs into the
Modem socket under the keyboard and also the long slot near the battery
backup plug.

I have no SW or ROM for it. Does it need one? All I have managed to do
so far is pick up the line what seems randomly. There also seems to be a
problem with the machine being unable to access the hard drive (despite
me setting the CMOS appropriately). Whether this is related to the modem
or not, I am unsure.
