The two largest are probably:

- Chris Richardson's "8BS", at http://www.karoo.net/8bs, has an
enormous collection of mostly public domain software, as well as
technical tidbits and a comprehensive stock of spare parts.

- My own "The BBC Lives!" at http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc. The
files in Mark Usher's documentation project are hosted here.
All known emulators of Acorn computers are listed, and most
popular BBC games can be found in the archive. (I've chosen to
honor Superior's wish that their software (which includes all
Acornsoft titles) is not made publicly available. Same goes
for Computer Concepts and a couple of smaller publishers.)
You'll find also find lots of links to other fine sites on the
  "Internet Resources" page.

Stuart McConnachie's "pcBBC" supports Master functionality to a certain
extent (the Master version of Elite works), but not completely.

No - not at all. They forbid using the system ROMs inside anything that
is not a real Acorn machine.

However, with the recent takeover of Acorn, it is doubtful that they'll
bother pursuing this matter. Many sites carry the ROM images seemingly
without problems, though I've chosen not to.
