Subject: Beeb emulation through MESS ?

Has anybody considered adding Beeb emulation to MESS 
(http://mess.emuverse.com/)?  If I was going to start developing an 
emulator now, I'd definitely consider this as a base.

For those not familiar with MESS, it's a sister project of MAME
(http://mame.retrogames.com/), the fabulous arcade game machine
emulator.
The projects apparently share much of the same emulation code.  
MESS seems to support about 30 old micro/console systems, with more
being
added continuously.  It should already contain modules for many of the 
core components of a Beeb.
