Subject: Zip
I can see absolutely no problem for an SCSI Zip drive on an BBC via the Host
adapter.
The problem is with the host adapter. I did compile a zip with alot of info
as to how to build your own and this resides at the documentation project /
TBL. Unfortunately the host adapter therein has a slight problem in that
there is a timeout problem with SCSI devices, an ST506 connected via an
adaptec ACB4000 works fine, but straight SCSI I doesn't.
All is not lost however, Walter Meyer has promised me that he would look at
the board to see where the problem lies, I have sent him a board and he is
looking at it when he can find the time.
Anyone else would be more than welcome to also have a look at the design,
and any improvement suggestions regarding the basic design would be more
than welcome.
Unfortunately I am flying off on holiday over Christmas, from 22-29th so
there could be a bit of a delay in replies from me during that time.
