Subject: Nostalgia Strikes Back
I recently dug my old B+ out of the loft a few weeks ago and got down to
some good old games of Stryker's Run (Still can't finish it). This started
a nostalgia trip and had me cursing selling my Master128, 6502 Co-Pro, disc
drives, joysticks and games.
So, now I am after a 6502 Co-Pro, joystick and a copy of Elite. I've
checked various websites to see who has what, but I've not succeeded in
finding one yet. Unfortunately I have all the electronics know-how of a
brick, so I'd need to get the hold of stuff which actually works.
My total lack of electronics skills leads me to my next request. Also
sitting in my loft is a Master Compact. The only thing that appears to be
up with this is that it can't find the floppy drive and won't boot. This
happened suddenly with no warning. It just kicked it's little legs in the
air and expired. Any ideas how to fix this? Could I just swap the drive
over for a "new" one (I've been told modern 3.5 drives are not compatible)?
Thanks,
Jason Irwin
