Subject: Original Microprimer software question

A (very) long time ago I was involved in writing the software for the
first Microprimer pack that came out with the "micros in primary
schools" initiative sometime in the early 80s.

I was recently reminded of one of the programs, called CRASH. I wanted
to be able to show it to some colleagues, but alas my BBC machine has
long since been given away, software with it! (The program ran on the
BBC B and RML 480Z).

I gather there are excellent BBC emulators available for PCs these days?
I found this mail list from a site that lists several different
emulators (http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/emulators.shtml). I would like to
try to get an emulator running under Windows (NT and/or 95) and find the
CRASH source (IIRC it was one file of pure BASIC).

Can anyone recommend a simple emulator and (fingers crossed) point me to
where I can find the CRASH program?

Also, I think I have some 5.25" BBC floppys somewhere which I would love
to be able to read. Is there any way to get at them without a BBC
machine or disk drive?

Lastly, I did some work in BCPL on the beeb. Is it possible to emulate
ROMs other than BASIC under Windows?

Many thanks,
-nick
