Hello!
If anyone downloaded the new software "Thurrock Care Switch Programmes"
(EDU-7) from 8-bit software (http://8bs.jml.net/) before Monday
(21/2/2000), it would not work on most emulators.
This has now been fixed (CHAIN "E.0MENU") - if you know anyone with severe
physical and/or communication disabilities, they may well find an actual BBC
Micro version very useful.
1. Yes/No selector Dice (speaking with an EPROM and software fix)
2. Talking type writer (type a line - then press a switch to speak it)
3. Number Generator (pick lottery/thunderball/bingo/sweepstake numbers -
user-defined 0-100 - speech, giant numbers, graphics)
4. Acorn's Biorhythms updated for switch access
5. Acorn's Music Keyboard, updated for easier access, with multiple sounds.
Most things can be accessed using just one switch. More information from
BarrieEllis@...
As a request - could anyone tell me if the emulator version speaks? (turn
the speech option on, then try Talk-Type or the Number Generator). And if so
- the name of the emulator it successfully works on (I have Horizon on the
Mac, which can't use SPEECH) Thanks a lot!
Barrie
