Subject: Fw: *TAPE command wont work



Hi Im Eric, new here.

I bought a second hand BBC B. OS 1.2
Fitted with Watford Technomatic DDFS 1.54T disk drive operating system.
Drive is an Opus 5&1/4 inch floppy : 40/80track switchable.

Ic socket 78 has a birdcage type thing fitted in it with a circuit board
on top been told this is disc drive controller

Ic socket 87 has no chip in it but A link like a staple from pin 9 to
12. If I take this staple out the disc drive wont operate sensibly.

Problem 1 is I have loads of programs on tape but cannot use them as the
*TAPE comand will not work and it doesnt reset page to &E00 

Problem 2 Is I have got wordwise 1.10 rom fitted in this beeb but not
got the instructions for it could anyone supply me with them.
