Hi, other subscribers
I'm a bit new to the BBC/emulation world, and I need a couple of pointers.
My colleagues in the school in which I work are eager to move their BBC
software across onto a PC platform, via an emulator.
The emulation isn't the problem, however, the transferring the files from
BBC to PC is - before I get stuck with the (hideous - I can't solder for
cake) job of building cables, I'm wondering if there is another solution.
So far I've had no joy at all in reading files from a BBC disk via an old
PC's 5-1/4 inch FD using FDC - but then the manual for FDC wasn't too
helpful either - I may have configured it badly.
Also, since the connector is the same - is it possible to plug the BBC drive
straight in to a PC, and somehow read it?
Many thanks,
