I have a serial connection from one of my masters to an old 286. I use
kermit on both machines to transfer software. This setup works quite
well. The biggest problem I had was transferring the Beeb version of
kermit from the PC to the BBC in the first place!
Chris Richardson has PC/BBC serial leads for sale on his 8BS website
(http://www.8bs.com/). Or, if you're handy with a soldering iron you
could make your own.
Regards,
Martin.
