Could it be that the machine is configured to automount ADFS discs on
startup? If so, typing *CONFIGURE NOMOUNT should fix it (assuming the
CMOS battery isn't dead). You might also want to do *CONFIGURE FILE 9
(I think; the number is from memory) to set the default filesystem to
DFS.
