Just in case anyone wants to know ( it looks like this list isn't really 
interested in hardware problems??)
I stayed up very late at night and finally found what was wrong with the Beeb.
Unfortunately until I found out what was wrong during the process, I 
removed several ROMS (OS..etc...) and twisted the legs part of them, so I 
have to order replacements for them now.
It looks like I have 2 OS ROMS and no BASIC ROM, thats why the computer 
refused to boot up.
If I had seen it from the beginning, I would have just ordered a BASIC II 
rom and saved myself the hassle and expenses.
I have now damaged 4 ROMS, and I have to order 4+1 that is missing...

oh well...
on a somewhat related question, what would the list suggest as the best 
ADFS ROM for the Beeb. Something simple to install and powerfull??
