You're document's great, John - Thanks! 

If you connect the red, green, blue and sync wires together then
connect, via a resistor, to the composite input on the TV, you should
get some kind of a monochrome picture. I have not tried this, though, so
it may not work. For colour, you will need a PAL colour encoder circuit,
or a VCR that is capable of RGB to PAL conversion (very few are). I
think the best option for colour PAL output from the BBC is the colour
modification to the existing composite output, as described in John's
document (direct URL below):
