Subject: Font Implosion / Explosions?
Does anyone know how the OS font implosion and explosion works? Does it have
a byte somewhere it knows to be all white, and then and's pixel sized chunks
from that? Or maybe it has a set of bytes somewhere representing 'first
pixel in 1bpp, second pixel in 1bpp' and then or's all those?
Don't get me wrong, I can think of several ways to implement this thing
myself, I just would quite like to know exactly how the OS does it. Some
games (including Chuckie Egg from what I can tell) even seem to call these
routines, so at least some information must have been known by someone at
some time.
Thanks in advance & sorry about the question.
