Subject: Emulation, long term preservation and Domesday

Sorry I've not had chance to reply to some of the recent Domesday posts, I'll
attempt to catch up soon.

In the meantime, I thought some of you guys might be interested in this draft
paper we've been working on.

In it we aim to develop a strategy for producing emulators for use in the
preservation world. In particular we look at a method of ensuring what we
produce is maintainable long into the future (i.e regardless of the
inevitable obsolecency of current hardware and software).

This strategy is likely to be developed further in our work on BBC Domesday.
