Subject: A strange load address (&8000)
I was just the other day having a look at the tape of the Electron version
of '3d Tank Zone' by Dynabyte and noticed that the very last file (named
'zone') has a load address of &8000 - where I took the load address from the
first block of data rather than the last, of course. I am wondering - how
come that file loads correctly? Is it just some sort of clever trick (e.g.
installing a fake OSWRCH which messes with the tape fs RAM based counters
immediately after the first block is loaded), or is there something
'special' going on with the tape FS when it reads load addresses such as
that?
Come to think of it, I forgot to check the top two address bytes, but I'm
sure I read somewhere that on an Electron they are just ignored?
