Subject: "Big" disks and MDFS

Hello,

I have an MDFS with a set of original disks which have all sadly passed
away. I'm trying to get a newer harddisk to work with the fileserver.

The new disk I have is 45 Meg and if I format it from utility mode it gets
partitioned into 2 chunks, 37 Meg and 7 Meg but on rebooting the
files0erver I get the following error...

WARNING: Your MDFS has not had Mod SCSI/2 fitted.
This may cause data corruption on your hard disc,
and relevant discs have been made READ-ONLY.
Please return your unit to SJ as soon as is convenient.

followed by some junk including the ID of the disk (in this case NEC
D3835). My fileserver boot ROM is 1.04 (according to utility mode) and I'm
running MDFS software 1.00 (1/8/89).

Is there anyway to get my combination of drive and MDFS working?

Brian
