Hi,
You might be better going to maplin electronics and pickup a transformer
converter. The have numerous ones off different wattage designed to either
convert UK 240volts down converted to American 110volts or American 110volts
Up converted to UK 240volts. But you real concern is the TV system in
America it NTSC 525 lines at 60hz with a 3.58Mhz colour carrier and in the
UK it PAL 625 line 50Hz with a 4.43MHz colour carrier. So unless you are
taking a British RGB Monitor you'll have to investigate other methods of
display.
Normal PCs should be ok as they have an orange voltage change over switch
located near the back off the power supply.

Subject: [BBC-Micro] US Power Supply
I'm in the US and want to replace the UK 220-240 power supply on a Master
128 and a BBC B with a US 115V. Does anyone know of a direct replacement?
Wasn't there someone on this list who just did the the reverse a couple of
months ago with some Acorn systems from the US?
Thanks in advance
Adrian
