Subject: Re: BBC Micro EPROM Programmer
I went to have a look in my shoe box of Beebugs and the first thing I came
across was an addendum sheet for the Eprom programmer project.
It's a corrected stripboard layout for the programmer, that does indeed plug
into the printer and user ports.
The programmer was in the August/September 1985 issue. The software was in
the October issue, and an associated sideways rom/ram utility was in the
November issue.
I scanned the corrected schema and stuck it at

I have the original magazines, so if anyone fancies building one, and wants
a scan of the software give me a shout and I'll do it too.
Although I have a feeling Angus' software will probably sing and dance more
than Beebugs...
I've never built the BB programmer myself, as I have a Watford Electronics
Adder, that I was using this very night to write a 27256 eprom with code for
a DIY midi sequencer project.
I've meant to build a PC eprom programmer for a while, but when it's so easy
to XFER a file to the Master, and blow a rom on the Adder it doesn't seem
worth the effort.
Biggest problem with the Adder is the 32k limit. Maybe I could build an
adapter to switch the address pins on larger roms manually and program in
banks...
