Subject: BBC programs off the Web

Yo James, you can't sort of yet download BBC programs
off the Web and get them straight to a BBC 3.5" disk
through a PC unless perhaps you have a latest version
of BBC Explorer, ask around for it... the current
version I have unfortunately only had read support off
BBC floppies. A specialist method of getting
downloaded programs onto BBC format might involve
linking up your PC and BBC through serial cable then
getting some specialist software, ask around for that
too. But I think BBC Explorer is much better than all
that hassle. Obviously it's possible to get BBC
programs onto disk image to run on PCBBC (best
emulator) but that's but what you want - I'm also
wanting to know how to transfer BBC files into BBC
format, any suggestions anyone?

I'm about to send off an e-mail to the list
documenting my experiences using PCBBC and BBC
Explorer so watch this space.

Fiaz.
