Here's a little more info on the problem I'm having with my BBC. After the
5-10 second BEEEWP!, the Caps and Shift lock keys operate as normal. (i.e.
They light up their respective LEDS). However, If I hit BREAK, they cease to
have any effect for a around 10 seconds after which they once again return
to 'normal'.

Hitting BREAK at anytime during the BEEEWWP! stops it short. The temporary
loss of functionality in the Caps and Shift Lock keys still occurs.
